Why VoiceScope exists
Many online voice tests return a single median frequency. That can be useful, but it makes octave errors, pauses, background noise, and expressive pitch changes difficult to inspect. VoiceScope keeps the full contour, recording, filter decisions, and settings together.
What the project values
- Transparency
- Processed detections and final trimming outliers remain visible.
- Privacy
- Audio processing and history remain on the device.
- Neutrality
- Pitch statistics are measurements, not judgments about a person.
- Reproducibility
- Profiles and settings are stored with each local recording.
